Orchard Grove Primary School is a vibrant public school in the city of Whitehorse, northeast of Melbourne. It’s in a quiet residential area, in perfect walking distance for many of its families, and borders on parks full of native flora and trails.
In the early 90s, four primary schools merged, forming today’s Orchard Grove. A favourite feature today is “the Grove,” the school’s kitchen garden, where kids grow everything from honey dew melons to eggplant. This year, they plan to add a native veggies row, with both edible and useful plants.
