Lourdes Hill College LED sign

While intrinsically progressive and always at the forefront of innovation in girls’ education, Lourdes Hill cherishes a long history which began in 1915 when thirteen sisters of the Good Samaritan order were invited from Sydney to start a school in Brisbane.

Boasting splendid views of the Brisbane River and the city centre, the college has lovely grounds and state-of-the-art facilities, boasting some very attractive architecture. Looking for a new and dynamic way of promoting events and celebrating achievements with audiences along Hawthorne Road, Lourdes Hill approached Danthonia to develop a signage piece which would serve as a representation of the brand and a means of communication.

The V-shaped monument structure provides the best visibility to traffic moving from either side as well as toward the sign. A seamlessly integrated P6.6 full-colour SMD LED display provides a high-resolution interface for advertisements and messages, and the sign is illuminated by LED lighting strips. Staff can roll out ad campaigns from any device with Internet connection, from Danthonia’s unique web-based software.
