The centre’s mascot is a sweet cartoon dinosaur, which takes place of pride on this new community changeable notice board sign they just installed.
Why a dinosaur? Perhaps because many dinosaur fossils have been preserved and discovered in Mesozoic rock near the town of Winton. So many dinosaur bones and tracks have been found in the region that the town is home to the Australian Age of Dinosaurs museum.
