Assef’s Shopfront Signage

The Assef-Serhan family, who had migrated from Lebanon and initially lived in the nearby town of Quirindi, founded the store during the years of the Second World War. The founder, Anthony Assef kept his shop at the cusp of the game, being the first rural business to install air conditioning and carpeted floors. The team tirelessly sought out the best labels from across the world to bring at affordable prices to this Australian farming town. Their quality service has gained them the most loyal customers who continue to support them in the age of super-stores and online shopping.

It is no surprise that Assef’s approached Danthonia to create high-end traditional signage for their shopfront. Signage was hand-crafted for each requirement, from suspended awning signs, to large 3D prism carved letters and 24kt gilded touches. This calibre of signage speaks volumes of the heritage of Assef’s, a local department store now in their 80th year of operation and going strong.
